Icarus on the BBC
Last year Icarus was approached by the BBC regarding veterans mental health and the shocking number of veteran suicides.
They filmed and interviewed us as we ran our Immediate Care Practitioner course in Newcastle in December last year which was for the staff of Veterans Launchpad and their veterans homeless accommodation, Avondale House. David Bellamy and Simon Maryan, cofounders of Icarus were interviewed along with residents of Avondale House.
It is an eye opener for many as to the seriousness of the situation and we are grateful to the BBC for covering it in the way they did.
