Although Icarus Online only became a reality officially in January of this year, the methods that we use to help peiople from the very outset when they are in the midst of a mental health crisis, have been tried and tested over the last 10 years by co-founder Simon maryan and have an extremely high success rate.
So this year we have taken what we do and turned it into our first in-house designed training course delivering psychological first aid skills, so that we can share our knowledge and experience in not only our own team, but also across the country for individuals and corporations that feel it would be a useful addition.
We are working with Mental Health First Aid England and the course is independantly verified and accredited by the CPD Standards Office, so the course will give you CPD hours/points.
The last day entails an assessment of your understanding of the underpinning theory and your practical application of the skills. On completion of the course you are required to submit 3 video case studies of you woring with 3 different people so that we can assess your ability to adapt to different personailities and symptoms. On successful completion of this you will be awarded your certificate, you have 3 months to submit your video case studies.
